Willowbrook Resident Jonathan
Fogel Sworn-In As Staten Island’s Newest Prosecutor
***NYU Law Grad, 26, Newest Addition
to Criminal Court Bureau***
STATEN ISLAND, NY- In the Office of the Richmond County District Attorney,
a ceremony was held to formally swear-in Jonathan Fogel, 26, to his
position as Richmond County Assistant District Attorney (ADA). The oath
was administered by District Attorney Daniel M. Donovan, Jr. and witnessed
by Richmond County Clerk Stephen J. Fiala. He is the seventh Criminal
Court assistant to join the office under District Attorney Donovan’s
administration.
“I am honored to welcome Jonathan to the already talented team
of attorneys working in my office’s Criminal Court Bureau,”
stated District Attorney Donovan. “We have conducted international
searches to fill the vacancies within our office and I was delighted
to see that the most qualified candidate for this position was living
here on Staten Island. Jonathan Fogel will be a true asset to the people
of Staten Island.”
Fogel, a resident of the Willowbrook section of Staten Island, is a
May 2004 graduate of the New York University School of Law and has been
admitted to the bar in the State of New York. He also attended NYU for
his undergraduate studies, earning a B.A. in Political Science, magna
cum laude, in May of 2000. Prior to attending NYU, Fogel is a graduate
of Staten Island’s Susan E. Wagner High School.

me this opportunity to serve the Staten Island community, where I grew
up and live,” stated ADA Fogel. “I pledge to dedicate myself
to the safety and security of the people of Staten Island, in the hope
of giving back to a community that has given so much of itself to me."
While pursuing his education, Jonathan Fogel has worked in a number
of internships which will serve him well in his duties within the Richmond
County District Attorney’s Office. Fogel has served as a Judicial
Intern with the New Jersey Superior Court and Federal Immigration Court
as well as served as a Research Assistant to the NYU Federal Defender
Clinic and several law professors.
Jonathan Fogel will be paid $42,500 in his position.
