Statement of District Attorney
Daniel M. Donovan Jr. on the Death Penalty Deliberations in the Case
of United States vs. Ronell Wilson
“When I first reviewed the case of Ronell Wilson, I believed
that a sentence of death would be an appropriate punishment for the
brutal murder of two heroic detectives who gave their lives to combat
the trafficking of illegal guns. I am grateful that the federal jury
system allowed that process to go forward. I am also grateful to the
United States Attorney for the Eastern District and the jury for the
time and effort they gave to see that the memories of Rodney Andrews
and James Nemorin were afforded the justice they were deprived of in
the line of duty.”
